Christmas Gift Idea
This year is going so fast. It is hard to believe Christmas will be here in just three short months! It is a great time to think about that special gift for a friend or loved one. I have been getting commissions already for portraits and landscape paintings,etc. I had a call the other day asking me if I could do a portrait from a photo that was taken long ago of their grandparent. I told him, "Yes I can". I actually did portraits for someone last Christmas of wedding portraits and then had prints made for him printed on canvas that he could keep. He gave the original portraits to his children for their Christmas presents. Maybe you would like to have someone in your family made into an oil portrait. Pet Portrait A new commission I am working on.
One of my New Year Resolutions is to blog more. I thought one thing I could do is show you one thing I am working on at the present time. A new client commissioned me to do a pet portrait of her precious puppy. This puppy is less than a year old and was an absolute sweetheart to work with. He was happy, friendly and very cooperative. More cooperative than some people I have photographed! Here is the referance for the painting I am working on.
One thing my client wants. is a very neutral, timeless and very classic look to her painting. It is a real pleasure painting this little guy! I hope you check back for more blogs and to see the finished painting!

Back to work!
Well... it has been a while since I posted something new.
I had to get my house in shape. My son and his fiance
came to visit, (they live in California) and I had a LOT to do!!
I had the whole family over on Sunday. We had
a great time. Now.....back to work! I hope to be doing LOTS
of new paintings and posting them here very soon!

I love red! This goes along with the title of this painting really.
The meaning is, there is a difference between being alone and
being lonely. I love to be alone and work on my paintings. Painting
is (besides my son and animals) my biggest passion. Red is
the true color of passion!
