Christmas Gift Idea

This year is going so fast.  It is hard to believe Christmas will be here in just three short months!  It is a great time to think about that special gift for a friend or loved one.  I have been getting commissions already for portraits and landscape paintings, etc. I had a call the other day asking me if I could do a portrait from a photo that was taken long ago of their grandparent.  I told him, "Yes I can".  I actually did portraits for someone last Christmas of wedding portraits and then had prints made for him printed on canvas that he could keep.  He gave the original portraits to his children for their Christmas presents. Maybe you would like to have someone in your family made into an oil portrait.  Please feel free to contact me if you would like information.  You can contact me at:  pattitrostle@aol.com   Below is an example of a portrait I completed from a vintage photograph.

Any one who knows me, knows I love to paint!

I post paintings and prints for sale on my web

site and here on my blog almost daily. But my true

passion lies in portraiture. I have met so many

nice people that have commissioned portraits from

me. I have sent portraits all over the country and

I am truly honored when someone likes my work

enough to have one of my paintings or portraits

in their collection. I have to stop and think what

my grandfathers paintings meant/mean to me. He

is no longer with me, but a feel like a piece of him is still

with me when I see his work. I hope I can give

people the same happy feeling when they, or their

future generations see the work I have done for them!
